Job Title: Strategic Workforce Leader

We are seeking a Strategic Workforce Leader to join our team. The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership across human resource functions.

About the Role
  • This role leads the workforce strategy, driving change and supporting a values-based culture to deliver better outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement evidence-based operational and long-term strategies and plans for the People Capability Command.
  2. Provide strategic leadership and direction to ensure effective strategy development, governance, risk management, assurance, compliance, and performance.
  3. Review, redesign, and implement systems and processes that enhance people management practices and improve operational effectiveness.
  4. Shape and embed an employee value proposition to attract, engage, and retain top talent.
  5. Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and identify and mitigate people-related risks.
  6. Develop and maintain interactive reporting tools for key HR metrics and produce reports as required.
  7. Lead the development of robust policies, systems, frameworks, and processes for the People Capability Command.
  8. Deliver transformational change programs, including digital transformation and HRIS implementation, to reshape services and ensure effective change management.
  9. Oversee talent acquisition, ensuring innovative and cost-effective recruitment strategies and solutions.
  10. Manage and resolve employee/industrial relations and employee conduct matters.
  11. Provide expert advice on significant, complex, and/or high-risk strategic workforce and employee relations matters.
  12. Protect the reputation and interests of the organisation through proactive risk management, leadership, and transparent decision making.
  13. Establish and maintain strategic partnerships and networks with stakeholders to facilitate collaboration and advance the interests of the organisation.
