We are seeking a talented Senior Network Planning Engineer to join our team in optimizing our network infrastructure for the future.

Job Summary:

As a Senior Network Planning Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the design, optimization, and expansion of our power distribution network. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring that our network infrastructure meets the demands of today while remaining adaptable to future challenges and advancements in technology.

  • You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop network plans that optimize efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Conduct detailed analysis of network performance data, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to enhance reliability and performance.
  • Design and optimize network configurations to accommodate load growth, renewable energy integration, and emerging technologies.
  • Develop short-term and long-term network expansion plans, considering factors such as load forecasts, regulatory requirements, and technological advancements.
  • You will utilize industry-standard software tools for network modelling, simulation, and analysis.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, standards, and best practices to ensure that our network infrastructure remains at the forefront of technological innovation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience in network planning, design, and optimization, preferably in the power distribution industry.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of distribution networks, zone substations, and operations.
  • Proficiency in network modelling and simulation software such as PSSE, CYME, or ETAP.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to power distribution networks.
