Within Australia, we operate out of two offices (Melbourne and Sydney) with a team of 160 people.

We're looking for a talented individual to lead our people management strategy in Australia, working closely with partners to deliver the strategic talent agenda and implement key talent initiatives across the Sydney and Melbourne offices. As the Head of Talent, you will lead a high-performing HR function and have a genuine seat at the leadership table.

Key ResponsibilitiesPeople Strategy and Partnership
  1. Collaborate to define and execute a people strategy focused on high performance, our employee value proposition, and a positive experience
  2. Provide thought leadership and advise executives on talent trends and best practices
  3. Chair the Operations Committee, setting agendas, preparing materials, and ensuring follow-through on commitments
Employee Experience
  1. Develop and champion initiatives to boost engagement, retention, and overall experience
  2. Implement programs promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion
  3. Act as a culture ambassador to foster a high-performance, collaborative, and well-being-focused work environment
  4. Use Global People Survey insights to refine local people strategies
Strategic Workforce Planning
  1. Oversee strategic workforce planning by analysing data to forecast needs and inform planning
  2. Build talent pipelines for key roles and future needs
  3. Implement strategies to boost productivity, profitability, and efficiency, while managing workforce risks
  4. Enhance diversity, equity, and inclusion; monitor and report on related metrics
  5. Oversee the Allocations Manager to balance resource allocation with workforce planning goals
Talent Acquisition
  1. Develop innovative strategies to attract top candidates at all levels
  2. Oversee the recruitment process to ensure a positive candidate experience
  3. Build relationships with universities and search agencies
  4. Maintain a strong employer brand to attract and retain top talent
  5. Use data and analytics to evaluate and improve recruiting strategies
Talent Development
  1. Design and implement development programs to meet strategic and operational objectives
  2. Identify high-potential employees and support their development
  3. Foster a feedback, coaching, and mentorship culture
  4. Oversee performance management to align with organisational goals and values
Talent Operations
  1. Manage people programs like mobility, international swaps, MBA sponsorship, and diversity initiatives.
  2. Implement a new global HRIS in the Australian office
  3. Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations
  4. Measure and report key metrics such as recruitment yields and attrition rates
  5. Develop and mentor the talent team, enhancing efficiency and effectiveness
  6. Manage the talent budget efficiently
Requirements

We're looking for a highly skilled and experienced professional with a strong background in human resources management, preferably in a consulting or advisory firm. You should have a university degree or coursework in a related field and be able to think strategically, execute operationally, and make data-driven decisions. Additionally, you should have strong organisational skills, be able to prioritise in a dynamic environment, and have a continuous improvement mindset. You should also be able to build strong internal and external relationships, have a high level of professionalism, enthusiasm, and a positive, team-oriented attitude, and have demonstrated influencing and coaching skills.
