Strategic Risk Leader

We are seeking an accomplished senior executive to lead our risk management strategy.

This role will oversee enterprise-wide risk and compliance, reporting directly to the CEO.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement risk management frameworks to ensure robust governance and control systems.
  • Provide independent risk advice and guidance to senior management and the Board.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to key Board Committees, including Risk, Audit, and Technology.
  • Prepare and present risk reports for Board approval, ensuring alignment with organisational strategy.
  • Monitor regulatory compliance and maintain strong relationships with regulators and auditors.
  • Promote a strong risk culture and support people development and operational resilience.
  • Escalate material issues to the Board and its committees as appropriate.
Key Skills & Experience:
  • Extensive senior level experience in risk management, compliance, and regulatory frameworks within financial services.
  • Strong knowledge of credit risk, insurance, and structured financial transactions.
  • Proven leadership in managing high-performing teams and driving enterprise-wide risk culture.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including Board and regulator engagement.
  • Relevant professional qualifications (actuarial or finance-related).
  • High integrity, intellectual curiosity, and ability to operate in a fast-paced, international environment.
