Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Urban Designer to join our team in a Senior Advisor role. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing and providing commentary on urban design plans, providing landscape and environmental advice, and representing the Council in Land & Environment Court matters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and provide input on urban design and public domain plans.
  • Provide expert advice on landscape, environment, and urban design matters.
  • Represent the Council in all legal proceedings related to urban design.
  • Develop frameworks and guidelines for urban renewal projects.
  • Contribute to reports and recommendations to the Local Traffic Committee.
  • Communicate design ideas through presentation and drawing.
  • Prepare presentations, briefings, and reports as required.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in Landscape Architecture, Architecture, or Urban Design.
  • Experience working on design projects.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and graphic communication skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage complex workloads.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills.
