About the Role

We are seeking a Financial Lines Underwriter to join our Sydney-based underwriting team. This role involves managing a portfolio of clients across various industries, working effectively with the team to achieve agreed underwriting goals.

  • Prepare and communicate quotations, bindings, policy conditions, and mid-term adjustments
  • Negotiate rates and terms with brokers
  • Follow up on offer of quotations and renewals
  • Update reporting systems
  • Develop and maintain broker relationships, including visits to client offices, which may involve interstate travel and presentations
  • Respond to broker inquiries
About You

With previous experience in insurance (underwriting or broking), you will demonstrate confidence in developing and managing client relationships through your passion for customer service. Your interpersonal and communication skills will assist you in conducting presentations and ensuring excellent service standards are maintained. You will also have a demonstrated knowledge of industries and businesses that allow you to provide quality service to your clients, as well as market knowledge of risk. Design and Construct experience is preferable.
