About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Asset Manager to join our team at Freshwater Group. As an Asset Manager, you will be responsible for managing the operational and financial performance of our portfolio assets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage contract administration, including financing agreements, power purchase agreements, connection agreements, O&M agreements, and insurance policies.
  • Monitor and maintain compliance with applicable laws, industry regulations, and authorizations, including generator registration and DA, as well as the OH&S policy and the OEMP.
  • Act as the primary contact point for project stakeholders, including the Landlord, community, and local authority.
  • Manage and oversee O&M/vegetation contractors, including review of maintenance plans/performance, asset performance, and faults, warranties, spares, budgets, and variation orders.
  • Identify and implement asset improvement opportunities through regular performance analysis of SCADA and market data, asset dispatch, and outages/faults.
  • Be the primary contact for AEMO for market activities, settlement, and planning, including monitoring compliance with the AEMO dispatch instructions and overseeing dynamic bidding platform provider performance.
Requirements
  • A tertiary qualification in a technical, engineering, or commercial discipline.
  • Previous experience in asset management for relevant assets, with a strong preference for solar and battery assets.
  • Advanced project management skills, preferably with a project management qualification.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Adept at problem identification and resolution.
  • Experience with asset management-related tools.
  • Experience with HSEQ, risk management, and contract management.
  • An understanding of energy use and energy markets in Australia.
  • Excellent time management and organization skills.
  • Proactive with high levels of initiative.
  • Collaborative team player.
  • Current driver's license.
  • Willingness to travel regionally and interstate.
  • Australian citizen or permanent resident.
