Accounting Assistant Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Assistant to provide timely financial analysis and support to our business.

This part-time role involves providing financial assistance, preparing accounts payable and receivables, processing employee expense claims, and assisting with monthly financial reporting.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role, using accounting software such as MYOB, and possess analytical skills. Intermediate-advanced Excel skills are also essential for this position.

Responsibilities include:

  • Processing accounts payable and receivables and entering information into accounting software
  • Processing employee expense claims
  • Assisting with monthly financial reporting
  • Reconciliation and verification of accounts
  • Debt collection as required

The successful candidate will be proactive and forward-thinking, with excellent written and verbal communication skills. They will also possess the ability to work autonomously.
