ABOUT THE ROLESalvos Stores is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to join our team and aid the store manager in delivering an inspiring shopping experience for our staff, customers, and community members. We are looking for a motivated individual who is passionate about retail, embraces challenges, and is eager to make a positive difference every day.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading, mentoring, and developing a team of paid staff and volunteers;
- Ensuring exceptional customer service is delivered consistently;
- Upholding outstanding operational and visual merchandising standards;
- Promoting a culture of safety within our stores;
- Overseeing and enhancing the financial performance of the store;
- Building and nurturing the volunteer workforce while engaging with the local community.
ABOUT YOU
While prior experience in a similar field is advantageous, it is your passion and proven ability to achieve remarkable results in a dynamic retail environment that truly matters. You will be a highly energetic, hands-on individual with a demonstrated history of providing exceptional customer service. Importantly, as someone known for your integrity, you will align with The Salvation Army's Mission and Values to positively influence the lives of others through your professional contributions.
To excel in this position, you must possess excellent interpersonal skills. You will be an effective communicator, both in writing and verbally, with strong relational abilities. Familiarity with technical systems such as Workday HCM is highly regarded.
