About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Psych Nurse to join our team at Melbourne Assessment Prison. As a Psych Nurse, you will deliver high-quality patient care to men in Victoria's public prisons.

This is a unique opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare practitioners who provide primary healthcare services to people in prison.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver health services that enhance and promote the health of people in prison through evidence-based, comprehensive, and professional nursing care within a prison setting.
  • Work without direct supervision to plan and coordinate patient care.
  • Contribute to the professional practice within the health facility.
Requirements
  • Appropriate nursing qualifications and current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
  • Minimum one year of post-registration clinical experience.
  • Valid Australian driver's licence.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Benefits
  • An attractive base salary range of $71.6k - $98.3k per annum (based on full-time employment).
