  • We are currently seeking an experienced and self-motivated Licensed B2 Avionics Engineer to join our team in Richmond, New South Wales, Australia.

This person will be responsible for identifying and performing maintenance on aircraft and should possess demonstrated avionics experience on Bell 412 aircraft.

The engineer is responsible for inspecting and documenting completed avionics maintenance on the Bell 412 aircraft.

Job Duties:

Maintenance: Carries out maintenance on aircraft for which suitably licensed, including the certification/coordination for maintenance carried out and/or coordinated by themselves, AME's, and apprentices.

Training and Supervision: Provides on the job training and direct supervision of unlicensed AME's and apprentices under their control.

Mentoring: Provides ongoing mentoring and coaching to staff to meet department goals.

Inventory Management: Manages the ordering of spares, components, and materials as required, for a specific maintenance task.

Tool and Equipment Calibration: Ensures that all tools and equipment meet calibration requirements and are in food working order prior to use, including operational equipment.

Troubleshooting: Troubleshoots aircraft autopilot, instrument, radio, and electrical systems to identify problems and adjust repair systems according to current data and instructions for Continued Airworthiness (ICA).

Record Keeping: Ensues that work sheets, logs, tracking updates and other required records are complete and submitted in a timely manner.

Technical Training: Reviews technical training requirements for B-412 aircraft and works directly with the lead and Chief Engineer to develop training plans as needed.

Requirements:

Licenses and Qualifications:

  • Current CASA Part 66 Aircraft Engineer License with B2 category.
  • 2 years of maintenance experience on B-412 helicopters.
  • 2 years of experience training and mentoring staff.

Preferred Experience:

Aircraft Maintenance Experience:

  • B-412 Type Rating.
  • Fixed wing aircraft maintenance experience, preferably on C-560 and/or/B-737.

Work Environment:

  • Aircraft maintenance experience in aerial firefighting environment.
  • Aircraft maintenance experience in remote/field locations.
