Are you an experienced Aircraft Maintenance Engineer with Defence aviation experience, looking for your next career move? Kinexus is seeking multiple AMEs from Avionics, Structural, or Mechanical backgrounds to support a high-profile Defence Aviation project in Sydney.

Join a team of aviation specialists providing crucial maintenance support to both ADF aircraft. These roles are ideal for ex-ADF personnel who understand Defence regulatory frameworks and seek a rewarding career within a supportive and professional team environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on Defence aircraft (avionics, structural components, or mechanical systems).
• Undertake troubleshooting, fault finding, repairs, and modifications in line with approved procedures and standards.
• Assist in managing technical investigations, documentation, and reporting of maintenance activities and outcomes.
• Engage in configuration management and technical change management tasks, ensuring Defence compliance and operational readiness.
• Liaise with engineering teams, Defence stakeholders, and operational staff to support aircraft maintenance objectives.
• Provide technical mentoring and supervision to junior team members as required.
  
  

Skills & Experience Required

• Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Avionics, Mechanical, or Structures).
• Proven experience in aircraft maintenance within a Defence environment (rotary-wing or fixed-wing platforms).
• Strong technical understanding of aircraft systems and Defence maintenance standards.
• Ability to read, interpret, and work from aircraft engineering drawings and specifications.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly document maintenance outcomes.
• BASELINE Defence Security Clearance (minimum requirement).

Eligibility Requirements

• Australian Citizenship: Essential due to Defence requirements.
