Job Description

This role offers the opportunity to join a growing bank in Charlotte and contribute to building out their Risk team.

The ideal candidate will cover generalist responsibilities, including:

  • Risk & Control Self-Assessment (RCSA): Lead and support business units through the design, execution, and challenge of RCSA processes, ensuring risks are appropriately identified and mitigated.
  • Issue & Operational Loss Management: Oversee and track risk issues, action plans, and operational losses to ensure timely remediation, proper documentation, and transparent reporting.
  • Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) Tools: Leverage platforms such as Archer to support data management, reporting, and oversight across risk programs, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Risk Reporting & Advisory: Prepare insightful risk reporting and provide proactive guidance to business stakeholders to strengthen risk awareness and support strategic decision-making.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in risk management, operational risk, or related financial services roles.
  • Strong knowledge of RCSA, issue management, and operational loss frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience with GRC tools preferred.
  • Ability to work across multiple risk disciplines in a fast-paced environment.
