Job Overview

About the Role

The role requires a seasoned professional to lead multidisciplinary teams and foster collaboration with clients, internal stakeholders, and external partners.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct the design process to ensure timely delivery of complex projects.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to align project outcomes.
  • Oversee design expenditure using robust tracking systems to optimize budgets.
  • Ensure all deliverables meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards through effective QA processes.
  • Lead primary and secondary design activities, conduct design reviews, and collaborate with external consultants on electrical studies.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Design Manager or equivalent on major energy infrastructure projects.
  • Primary design engineering expertise.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications (e.g., Bachelor of Engineering).
  • CPEng or working towards it.
  • Membership (or eligibility) with a relevant engineering body (e.g., Engineers Australia).
