Caregiver Role

Our organization seeks to provide outstanding care to our residents in Melbourne. We aim to make a long-term difference in the lives of our participants and their families and carers.

  • We offer daily living assistance including showering, personal hygiene, help at meal times and general mobility.
  • We require caregivers to clean around the house and provide care in accordance with individualised Care Plans.
  • Caregivers will also assist with domestic duties such as meal preparation and cleaning.
  • We need caregivers who can support with community based recreational and social activities.
  • Caregivers must also provide transportation and assistance with shopping and appointments.
Requirements

To be successful in this role you must have:

  • A current Working with children check.
  • First aid/CPR certificates (current).
  • A full and clean Australian driver's license.
  • You must be punctual.
  • Be reliable and flexible.
  • Have good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Be empathetic and proactive with a genuine interest to work in this field.
  • The ability to self-supervise and remain calm during crisis situations.
  • Confidence to pass relevant probity checks required by legislation or policies.
