Role Overview

The Aboriginal Health Practitioner will deliver safe, high-quality clinical services, patient care, health promotion, and education as part of a multi-disciplinary team at Wurli Wurlijang Health Service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver health screening and provide treatment in accordance with CARPA protocols
  • Assist clients to make informed decisions about their health management
  • Contribute to patient care plans
  • Administer immunisations, eye health care, ear health care, diabetes health care, oral health care, and sexual health services

Requirements

  • Fully registered as ATSI Primary Health Practitioner with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Certificate IV in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care
  • Current National Police Certificate
  • Current Northern Territory Driver's Licence
  • Current Working with Children's Clearance (Ochre Card)
