Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse to join our Paediatric Medicine team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering expert, person-centered paediatric nursing care through telehealth and home visits, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and external providers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Patient Care Delivery: Delivering expert, person-centered paediatric nursing care through telehealth and home visits.
  • Care Planning and Management: Assessing and managing individual care plans, ensuring effective therapeutic interventions and monitoring patient outcomes daily.
  • Leadership and Guidance: Providing clinical leadership on shifts, guiding less experienced staff and supporting seamless patient flow within the team.
  • Service Improvement: Collaborating in service planning, quality improvement, and change management initiatives to enhance care delivery and operational efficiency.
  • Educational Support: Supporting clinical education, mentoring students and new staff while contributing to research, audits, and development of clinical protocols.
Requirements:
  • Nursing Qualifications: Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, holding or eligible for a current practicing certificate.
  • Clinical Experience: Minimum of 3 years full-time equivalent post-registration nursing/midwifery experience, demonstrating clinical competence.
  • Leadership and Communication: Proven experience in guiding student nurses, enrolled nurses, and less experienced registered nurses.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills.
  • Work Environment: Ability to work independently, prioritize workload, and collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of relevant legislation, healthcare standards, quality improvement systems, and contemporary nursing/midwifery issues.
