Secondary English Teacher Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Secondary English Teacher to join our school community. The successful applicant will collaborate with the Head of English to deliver high-quality education and support students in their academic journey, ensuring adherence to our school's mission, vision, and code of conduct.

The ideal candidate will have a strong curriculum knowledge, proficiency in educational technology, and excellent communication skills for building positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing engaging lessons aligned with the Western Australian Curriculum, fostering student understanding and achievement.
  • Implementing effective classroom management and assessment strategies to create a fair, safe, and respectful learning environment.
  • Collaborating with colleagues on curriculum development, assessments, and larger school events, while maintaining strong communication with parents.
  • Integrating technology into classroom practice to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
  • Participating in ongoing professional development, school meetings, and classroom observations to continually improve teaching quality.

Requirements include:

  • A recognised teaching qualification with TRBWA registration (or eligibility for registration).
  • Demonstrated experience and success in teaching English at the secondary level.
  • Proficiency in educational technology and strong communication skills.

Essential Criteria include:

  • Having a personal faith and commitment to Christian values.
  • Actively being part of a Church or Christian community and exemplifying Christian beliefs, behaviour, and practices.
