Payroll Operations Specialist

About the Role:

The Payroll Operations Specialist will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient and effective performance of payroll functions. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance of payroll systems, including data entry, processing, and reconciliation.

  • Processing of employee time sheets, leave hours, and ad-hoc transactions.

  • Preparation and review of fortnightly and monthly payroll reports.

  • Transmission of payroll files to the bank for payment and creation of employee pay advices.

  • Performance of annual payroll reconciliations and preparation of employee payment summaries.

  • Regulatory compliance and reporting, including superannuation and payroll tax.

  • Provision of information and assistance to staff, management, and regulatory authorities as required.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Strong computer literacy and experience with payroll software.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently under pressure.
