The Queensland Government's Business Intelligence Solutions team within Performance Monitoring and Reporting is seeking a Data Management Officer for a permanent full-time position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the development and maintenance of information systems for the provision of accurate, reliable, and appropriate data to meet the requirements of decision-makers, managers, and planners at departmental, State, and Australian government levels.
  • Liaise with other officers across the department to manage expectations, gain a broader knowledge of user needs/desires, and to identify data sharing opportunities.
  • Ensure the accuracy, reliability, and security of data required for analytical and reporting purposes.
  • Implement system controls to ensure the quality, security, and integrity of data collections.
  • Identify, document, and test requirements for enhancements to various information systems.
  • Maintain access security within Microsoft SQL, Share Point, and Power BI.
  • Utilize SQL for ad-hoc requests and/or system testing.
  • Assist in the formulation and preparation of reports, submissions, and briefings regarding complex performance measurement, benchmarking, monitoring, and reporting issues.

Requirements:

  • Well-developed systems administration skills.
  • Ability to communicate with influence and support productive working relationships with stakeholders, partners, and customers.
