Community organizations are seeking highly skilled and empathetic professionals to join their teams. As a key member of the organization, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service to current and prospective clients who may be experiencing housing difficulties.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a world without housing poverty. As a Customer Service Officer, you will be responsible for:

  • Liaising with a diverse range of vulnerable people, providing support and guidance to those in need.
  • Undertaking various administrative tasks, including booking appointments, maintaining databases, scanning documents, and contributing to projects.
  • Providing ad-hoc support to other teams as required.
  • Welcoming customers in person at our crisis entry point for our homelessness service.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable people in our community.
  • Relevant skills and experience in working effectively and sensitively with a diverse customer group with complex needs.
  • The ability to handle a high volume of work and prioritize effectively.
  • Confidence in liaising with various stakeholders, including vulnerable people.
  • A strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and a caring and empathetic nature.
  • The ability to work independently and as an effective team member, with a commitment to participating in a supportive and collaborative team culture.
  • Quick thinking, resilience, and the ability to thrive in a multitasking environment where no day is ever the same.
  • Previous experience working on MS Office programs.
  • The ability to compose professional correspondence via email to internal and external stakeholders.
  • The ability to travel between offices.
