This role is focused on ensuring that environmental regulations are met and exceeded in a project setting.

The Environmental Advisor will work closely with the project team to develop and implement strategies that minimize environmental impact and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental science or a related field, as well as experience working in a similar role within the civil construction industry. Ideally, they will have worked on water-related projects before.

About You:

As an Environmental Advisor, you will be responsible for ensuring that all environmental legal requirements are met and that sustainability targets are achieved. This includes developing and maintaining Construction Environmental Management Plans (CEMP), conducting risk assessments and inspections, and investigating incidents.

Experience in reporting and data analysis is also essential, as you will be required to manage environmental and sustainability reporting, including monthly project reports.

Requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science or a related discipline.
  • Strong knowledge of NSW environmental legislation and regulatory frameworks.
  • Experience in a similar role within the civil construction industry.
  • Ability to work effectively in a project environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and negotiate with key stakeholders.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.
