Job Title: Complex Care Support Specialist

We have an exciting opportunity for a Complex Care Support Specialist to join our team in Central West NSW, covering Bathurst.

About the Role:

The Complex Care Team provides support services and assistance to individuals with complex trauma and behavioral needs. As a Complex Care Support Specialist, you will work closely with clients of all ages, developing, assisting, and supporting them in various locations daily.

You will work within our strength-based model of care to provide safety while identifying growth needs. This role is suitable for those new to the industry or experienced across various support services, including challenging behaviors and high physical needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement personalized support plans for clients with complex trauma and behavioral needs.
  • Provide daily support and assistance to clients in various locations, working collaboratively with the Complex Care Team.
  • Contribute to a safe and supportive environment, promoting the well-being and independence of clients.
  • Work effectively with diverse clients, families, and stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Participate in regular team meetings and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Qualification in Community Services (Cert IV) highly regarded.
  • Strong interest in youth work, mental health, and disability.
  • Understanding of strength-based trauma-informed practice framework.
  • Previous experience in residential therapeutic care and complex trauma valuable.
  • Ability and willingness to work shift hours, sleepovers, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Current Driver's Licence.
