AECOM is seeking a highly skilled Principal Electrical Engineer to lead and deliver complex electrical engineering projects across various sectors, including transportation, infrastructure, ports, and maritime. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of key projects, such as traction linewide systems, resignaling programs, SAT/TAP initiative, and electrical infrastructure upgrades.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership: Lead the electrical engineering aspects of major projects, ensuring successful delivery within scope, time, and budget.
  • Technical Expertise: Develop and review complex electrical designs, ensuring compliance with industry standards, client requirements, and safety regulations.
  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all engineering outputs meet quality and safety standards.
  • Global Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues from our global offices to share knowledge, leverage expertise, and implement best practices across projects.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on infrastructure projects.
  • Proven track record in leading large-scale projects, particularly in transportation, rail, or urban development sectors.
  • Extensive knowledge of low voltage, high voltage, power systems modeling, traction power, earthing, and bonding.
  • Strong understanding of Australian standards and regulations related to electrical engineering.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
