Occupational Therapist
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our team at a leading healthcare provider.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing high-quality care to patients and their families.
- Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough assessments and develop tailored treatment plans to facilitate independence in Activities of Daily Living (ADL) and quality of life for patients.
Develop and implement discharge plans, including home visits, provision of aids/modifications, and referrals to other services as required.
Refer patients to groups or other disciplines within the organization as needed.
Participate in case conferences and family meetings to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Communicate with program coordinators regarding funding/length of stay issues and referrals to outpatient therapy.
Liaise with other team members to ensure seamless patient care and efficient therapy time tabling.
Document OT interventions, assistive device/home modification prescriptions, and case management plans to ensure continuity of care.
Essential Qualifications:
A Bachelor of Applied Sciences in Occupational Therapy or equivalent, along with eligibility to join the Australian Association of Occupational Therapists (AAOT).
Full registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
Desirable: neurological rehabilitation experience.
Sound clinical judgment and reasoning skills, with excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Superior time management and organizational skills.
