Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our team at a leading healthcare provider.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing high-quality care to patients and their families.

  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments and develop tailored treatment plans to facilitate independence in Activities of Daily Living (ADL) and quality of life for patients.

  • Develop and implement discharge plans, including home visits, provision of aids/modifications, and referrals to other services as required.

  • Refer patients to groups or other disciplines within the organization as needed.

  • Participate in case conferences and family meetings to ensure comprehensive patient care.

  • Communicate with program coordinators regarding funding/length of stay issues and referrals to outpatient therapy.

  • Liaise with other team members to ensure seamless patient care and efficient therapy time tabling.

  • Document OT interventions, assistive device/home modification prescriptions, and case management plans to ensure continuity of care.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor of Applied Sciences in Occupational Therapy or equivalent, along with eligibility to join the Australian Association of Occupational Therapists (AAOT).

  • Full registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

  • Desirable: neurological rehabilitation experience.

  • Sound clinical judgment and reasoning skills, with excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

  • Superior time management and organizational skills.
