As a key component of our data services team, you'll play a crucial role in designing and maintaining scalable systems at the intersection of software engineering and data infrastructure.
This autonomous position allows for meaningful impact, working closely with your team members to craft, develop, and deliver reporting products for customers, ensuring high-quality software projects are completed efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with a team of engineers to create innovative solutions to complex technical problems.
- Implement sound methodologies throughout the development cycle, including technical design, pair programming, peer code review, documentation, testing, and continuous integration.
- Ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of AWS-deployed systems.
- Participate in system maintenance with the team.
- Work on software that integrates with AWS services like EMR, Kubernetes, S3, Athena, and Glue, using tools such as Snowflake, Docker/Kubernetes.
- Build a platform serving as the foundation for customer-facing reporting features, machine learning initiatives, and internal product analytics.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in Java, Python, or Golang.
- 7+ years of experience in software development/data engineering, with at least 2+ years of hands-on experience building scalable systems.
- Containerization experience (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with Snowflake and knowledge of DBT (Data Build Tool).
- Passion for building clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
- Strong developer skills with a focus on scalable and fault-tolerant software systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to lead discussions and think critically.
- Self-motivation, strong collaboration skills, and a willingness to learn and acquire new skills.
