Data Engineer Lead

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer Lead to drive the development of our data analytics infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and enhance our analytics infrastructure and dashboards, leveraging various tools
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to inform data-driven decisions and align data strategy with business objectives
  • Critique data for accuracy and ensure its reliability
  • Work closely with Product and Engineering teams to determine key performance indicators
  • Lead efforts related to data quality, reporting, insights, and remediation of data inconsistencies and incompleteness
  • Design, construct, install, and maintain data processing systems and databases
  • Integrate data from diverse sources, ensuring consistency and reliability
  • Build and maintain efficient data pipelines to support data collection, transformation, and loading (ETL) into data warehouses or lakes
  • Optimize data processing systems for performance and scalability
Requirements:
  • Be a strong collaborator who can understand stakeholder needs and develop strategies that consider these
  • Be a skilled communicator and confident in driving internal education on data
  • Possess strong SQL data wrangling skills
  • Have experience using data modeling tools like dbt
  • Have expertise in Python or R programming languages
  • Have worked on modern event data stacks and be familiar with Segment, Amplitude, Looker Studio, BigQuery, Google Analytics, and AWS/GCP
  • Have a solid foundation in mathematics and statistics
  • Be highly visual and numeric, able to communicate complex information clearly and simply
  • Have exposure to data systems supporting machine learning and database migration/modernization projects
