Job Title: Strategic IT Governance and Assurance Manager We are seeking an experienced IT governance and assurance manager to work in the Chief Technology Office (CTO). The CTO acts as the steward of the present and future technical direction of the department and provides assurance over technology adoption and change processes. The Governance and Assurance Team Leader is a critical member of the CTO team responsible for managing the Governance and Assurance team. This position is a core resource for coordination of IT changes and management of processes used to adopt software and hardware products for use in the AGD environment. Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage diplomatically with stakeholders and communicate changes that may not be aligned with original expectations;
  • Work closely with business representatives and ID staff to onboard new systems to the AGD IT environment in accordance with the ID Delivery Model;
  • Develop and document internal processes to streamline them and improve customer experience; and
  • Govern the department's technology adoption frameworks.
 Requirements:
  • Forward-thinking and resourceful to ensure positive outcomes are delivered promptly;
  • Knowledge and experience in IT change management and governance;
  • Ability to work with both technical and business stakeholders to achieve business outcomes;
  • Working knowledge of Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies;
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities.

Technical skills include IT change management, governance, and project management. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this role. Relevant certifications or tertiary qualifications in ICT would be highly regarded but are not considered mandatory.
