Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Workplace Relations Specialist to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a key role in providing expert advice and support on employee relations and industrial relations across various sectors.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate policy development and compliance initiatives to drive cost savings and minimize risk.
  • Create and maintain employment contract templates and schedules of site terms and conditions.
  • Support the HR Services team and operational leaders in developing ER tools, systems, and processes.
  • Gather information for responses to Fair Work Commission matters and other industrial tribunals.
  • Provide project management support for large-scale agreement making.
  • Coordinate high-volume employee representative and Union enquiries and claims.
  • Address low-level workplace relations issues and support leaders with bid and tender documentation from a Workplace Relations perspective.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Tertiary qualification in HR, ER, Commerce, Law, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in industrial relations in a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous exposure to enterprise agreements and modern awards.
  • Sound understanding of the Fair Work Act, including the NES.
  • Strong numerical capability, including good MS Excel skills.
  • Analytical capability.
