Job Title: Security Software Engineer

Join us in our quest for innovative security solutions as a seasoned software engineer. With a passion for open source and cutting-edge technology, you will be an integral part of a globally distributed team that shapes the future of software engineering.

The role involves defining, implementing, and documenting new security features, leading security-focused initiatives within product engineering teams, and analyzing vulnerabilities in open source software. You will also contribute to Ubuntu and upstream projects, audit and analyze source code, integrate new tools into our security infrastructure, and achieve various security certifications.

Our ideal candidate has an exceptional academic track record, an undergraduate degree in Computer Science or STEM, and a thorough understanding of common security vulnerabilities. They are proficient in modern software engineering techniques, familiar with open source development tools, and skilled in one or more programming languages such as C, C++, Python, Go, Rust, Java, Ruby, PHP, or JavaScript/Typescript.
