About the Role

Civil Services Group is seeking a highly experienced Senior Civil Project Manager to join our team in Mackay, Queensland. As a key member of our project delivery team, you will be responsible for leading and managing complex civil projects from planning to completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage project teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards;
  • Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets;
  • Coordinate and manage project resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials;
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards;
  • Manage and mitigate project risks and issues;
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and community groups;
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams;
  • Monitor and report on project progress and performance;
  • Ensure high levels of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) performance and compliance;
  • Develop and implement quality assurance and quality control processes;
  • Manage and maintain project documentation and records;
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures;
  • Contribute to the development of business strategies and plans;
  • Participate in business development activities, including tendering and marketing;
Requirements
  • Degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent qualification;
  • Minimum 7 years' experience in civil project management, with a strong background in road construction and maintenance;
  • Proven track record of delivering complex projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards;
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and direct project teams;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders;
  • Strong technical expertise in civil engineering, with a focus on road construction and maintenance;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines;
  • High levels of integrity, with a strong commitment to HSE and quality;
  • Ability to travel to project sites, as required;
  • Valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle;
  • Ability to work in a team environment, with a focus on collaboration and mutual respect;
