Procurement Manager

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Officer to join our Perth-based team. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for managing procurement and expediting activities, maintaining procedures, and providing information reporting for allocated projects.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, coordinate, and monitor the progress of procurement activities, ensuring timely issue of enquiries, tender evaluation, and award of purchase orders.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to secure optimal prices and deliveries for equipment, meeting project technical, schedule, and commercial requirements.
- Conduct commercial analysis and evaluation of quotations to select the most suitable suppliers.
- Lead high-level negotiations with business partners and suppliers, establishing strategic relationships.
- Develop and maintain effective vendor data and goods tracking systems.
- Implement and monitor procurement schedules in accordance with overall delivery schedules.
- Review orders to ensure details align with original tender requests and client-approved ATCs.
- Provide professional support to the Project team in preparing project deliverables.
- Contribute to the professional development of Procurement team members through mentoring and identifying areas for growth.
- 10+ years of experience in procurement, expediting, and/or logistics, preferably in the engineering or construction industries.
- Demonstrated experience with computerized purchasing and logistics systems.
- Sound knowledge of international and local tendering practices.
- High-level negotiating and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to achieve high standards within budgetary and schedule constraints.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills.
- Ability to create a positive stakeholder management and customer support environment.
