Job Title: Merchandise Allocator
A key role in our organisation's planning function is available for a merchandiser to manage daily stock operations, ensuring the right stock is in the right place at the right time to maximise sales.
- Monitoring and replenishing stock levels in our distribution centre and stores.
- Maintaining system stock allocation software including replenishment parameters.
- Ensuring deliveries are within agreed time frames into stores.
- Reporting of any known stock shortages/surpluses upon delivery into stores.
- Managing the replenishment system at a style and size level in conjunction with the planning manager.
- Ensuring adequate stock levels for new store openings.
- Conducting regular reviews of in-store stock levels against distribution centre stock levels in conjunction with the planning manager.
- Analysing stock on hand reporting to determine which items need to be consolidated.
This role requires a highly developed analytical and practical skillset, proficiency in Excel, and strong communication skills. The ideal candidate will have relevant tertiary qualifications, 2-3 years' experience allocating within a retail environment, and a willingness to learn and adapt to new systems.
