The role of Inventory Assistant plays a pivotal part in ensuring the accuracy of stock levels across the facility.

Key responsibilities include assisting the Inventory Controller with all inventory-related functions within the warehouse.

The main objectives are to guarantee that stock counts are accurate, and any discrepancies or variances are promptly investigated and rectified.

Additionally, this role involves proactively identifying slow-moving or obsolete stock and implementing measures to optimize stock location based on seasonality and sales trends.

Working closely with the Inventory Controller, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring accurate stock levels through cycle counting and investigating stock variances
  • Identifying and addressing slow-moving or obsolete stock
  • Optimizing stock location based on seasonality and sales trends

To excel in this role, the ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities. Additionally, proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word, is highly desirable.

While previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred, it is not essential. However, candidates must demonstrate the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to changing circumstances.
