Job Summary

The role of Marketing and Commercial Director is a key executive leadership position that drives the elevation of the sport's profile, commercial capability, and strategic positioning nationally.

About This Role
  • This position will develop and implement integrated marketing, communications, events, and commercial strategies to grow brand visibility, commercial revenue, and member engagement.
  • It will secure and service national commercial partnerships, negotiate media and broadcast agreements, and drive digital initiatives to expand audience reach.
  • Deliver major national and international events showcasing the sport and meeting commercial and brand objectives.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement integrated marketing, communications, events, and commercial strategies to grow brand visibility, commercial revenue, and member engagement.
  • Secure and service national commercial partnerships, negotiate media and broadcast agreements, and drive digital initiatives to expand audience reach.
  • Deliver major national and international events showcasing the sport and meeting commercial and brand objectives.
  • Mentor high-performing teams, foster collaboration across the organisation, and align marketing and commercial priorities with the overall vision.
Requirements
  • Strong commercial acumen with a proven track record in revenue generation, sponsorships, and brand strategy.
  • Experience negotiating partnerships and driving digital content initiatives to grow audience engagement.
  • Ability to leverage data, content, and partnerships to develop new products and uncover revenue opportunities.
  • Understanding of elite and community sport dynamics and their impact on commercial and engagement opportunities.
  • Strategic, inclusive, and results-driven leadership with ability to mentor teams and build collaboration across stakeholders.
