About the Role

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our waste management team. This full-time position requires strategic direction and management of waste management services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic direction and management of waste management services.
  • Ensure operations under area of control are conducted in a way that provides a high level of service, minimising disruptions while meeting environmental sustainability objectives.
  • Manage administration of contracts within the area of control, including contract development, procurement, performance monitoring, and management.
  • Manage services within budgetary constraints, contributing to financial planning, creating purchase orders, and resolving financial issues with contractors.
  • Plan and drive implementation of complex projects, engaging with key stakeholders and undertaking stakeholder needs analysis.

Requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience.
  • Extensive operational and financial management experience in delivering waste and recycling services for large and complex property portfolios.
  • Strong working knowledge of relevant legislative and voluntary requirements.
  • Experience in contract administration, contractor management, and facilities management activities.
  • Highly developed leadership qualities with demonstrated experience in leading improvement initiatives and/or projects.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
