  • Tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
  • Proven experience in leading multidisciplinary teams and managing industrial workforces.
  • Strong financial acumen and budget management capability.

  • Experience managing complex contracts and delivering service excellence.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, stakeholder engagement, and leadership skills.

The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader with a strong ability to drive continuous improvement and innovation in waste and cleansing services. They will have excellent communication and leadership skills, with a proven track record of achieving results in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the strategic planning and delivery of waste collection, disposal, and cleansing services.
  • Managing significant contractor relationships and performance.
  • Ensuring a strong customer service focus across all waste and cleansing functions.
  • Overseeing operational planning, compliance with relevant legislation, and driving continuous improvement within the team.
  • Attending council meetings and representing the council at stakeholder forums.
