Engineering Team Lead

We are seeking a seasoned Engineering Team Lead to spearhead the development and operation of our core database, Xero DB. This critical role plays a pivotal part in driving our Data Reliability strategy and will see you lead a team of engineers in safely designing and executing cloud migration and modernization strategies.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing a team, with a strong coaching and mentoring background. They will also possess a deep understanding of software design, distributed systems, and scalable architectures.
Key responsibilities include inspiring and empowering the engineering team, fostering a positive and inclusive environment, and providing strong technical leadership and guidance. The successful candidate will also work closely with Product Owners and other stakeholders to drive planning, execution, and successful delivery of complex projects.

Requirements- Experience managing a team of software engineers
