About the Role:

This trade work involves manufacturing automotive products on production lines and testing facilities.

Responsibilities:

The primary responsibility is to work as part of a team to create, maintain, and operate reliable production lines and testing facilities for manufacturing automotive products.

Fitters and mechanics will have hands-on experience in fitting fabricated parts, ensuring quality standards, adjusting settings, interpreting specifications, checking parts for accuracy, and assisting with machinery repair and maintenance.

Essential Skills Needed:
  • A qualification and/or 2+ years' experience as a Fitter or Mechanic with relevant Fitter experience.
  • Knowledge of health and safety requirements in the workplace.
  • Ability to manage own time and others to meet deadlines and project goals.
  • Experience operating high-speed manufacturing equipment.
  • Mechanical aptitude and understanding of fundamental principles.
  • Ability to work autonomously on tasks.
  • Self-motivated and responsible.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and solutions-focused approach.

Additional Information:

Required qualifications include MEM30219 Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade and Fitting AQF Certificate III (with at least two years of on-the-job training) or AQF Certificate IV (ANZSCO Skill Level 3) as a Fitter or Mechanic with fitter experience.
