We are seeking a seasoned senior software engineer to join our team in Hobart, Australia. You will be working closely with our product development team to build and maintain cutting-edge Procreate products and features.
The Position OverviewThis role is within the Product Development team and reports directly to Michael Shaw, our Chief Technology Officer. In this position, you will work collaboratively with other members of the engineering team, designers, quality assurance specialists, and relevant executive staff.
Key Responsibilities- Work in tandem with designers to transform prototypes into deployable products
- Deliver major features to millions of artists worldwide
- Provide technical guidance through mentoring, library development, and code review
- Solve intricate and novel technical challenges
- A profound understanding of Swift and its type system (Rust experience also valuable)
- Comprehensive knowledge of multi-threaded concurrency and parallelism techniques
- Experience making technical decisions for a team and seeing them through to completion
- Proficiency in debugging, profiling, and resolving performance-related issues
- A strong track record of developing libraries used by teams
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

About the CompanyIn the first 12 months, you can expect to complete the onboarding process, take ownership of your initiatives, provide support to existing products, build an understanding of our product development practices, prepare and support the execution of core product features, and ship product.
