Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Support Services Coordinator to provide day-to-day life skills support to young people aged 16-24 who are transitioning to independence. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with our team to deliver services that focus on the capabilities, strengths, and aspirations of our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day life skills support to young people aged 16-24;
- Develop and implement individualised support plans to meet the unique needs of each client;
- Work collaboratively with our team to deliver services that promote the capabilities, strengths, and aspirations of our clients;
- Maintain accurate records and reports, as required;
- Participate in regular training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A demonstrated understanding of the issues facing young people at risk and the causes and impacts of homelessness;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders;
- The capacity to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a strong emphasis on respect, empathy, and active listening;
- A commitment to safeguarding the interests of children and young persons, with a strong understanding of the principles and practices of child safety.
