Mobile Plant Technologist

Overview

We are seeking a skilled Mobile Plant Technologist to join our team in Northern Tasmania. The successful candidate will provide technical support on Hitachi equipment, including diagnostics, repair, and maintenance. This is a full-time opportunity with a competitive hourly rate and potential for overtime pay.

About the Role

• Provide onsite technical support on Hitachi equipment, including diagnostics, repair, and maintenance.">
• Autonomously work from your home in Northern Tasmania.">
• Conduct basic failure analysis and identify specific modes of failure.">
• Provide exceptional customer service to our customers.">
• Ensure work sites are kept tidy and all paperwork is up to date.">
• Conduct work in compliance with quality and safety standards and procedures.">

Requirements

• ">
• Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology or equivalent discipline (Diesel Mechanic).">
• Commercial Vehicle trades also considered.">
• Previous experience with assembly, overhaul, repair, and servicing of mechanical and hydraulic components on construction and/or mining equipment.">
• Ability to work autonomously and proactively solve technical issues.">
• Excellent interpersonal, communication skills, and customer service etiquette.">
• An uncompromising commitment to quality workmanship and safety policies and procedures.">

Salary and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this position is $80,000 - $110,000 AUD, depending on experience. You will also receive:
