Electronic Systems Expert

This is a highly skilled position that involves maintaining a high level of technical knowledge in electronic systems, providing support tasks in a safe and efficient manner, conducting test procedures, performing modifications and upgrades, leading off-site work as required, and providing professional advice for continuous improvement.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Maintaining technical knowledge across all subsystems of the sonar system
  • Carrying out all technical support tasks in a safe and efficient manner
  • Conducting all test procedures applicable to the equipment and assisting with analysis of results
  • Performing modifications and upgrades to electronic assemblies
  • Leading and performing off-site work as required in support of submarine docking tasks
  • Providing professional advice for the continuous improvement of repair systems, processes, and procedures
Requirements
  • Certification in electronic engineering or equivalent is required
  • A strong understanding of analogue/digital and microprocessor-based electronic systems is necessary
  • Previous experience in a defence industry environment is preferred
  • Experienced individuals in hardware fault finding are encouraged to apply
