Behaviour Therapist Role

We are seeking an experienced Behaviour Therapist to join our team of 300+ Psychologists, Counsellors and Positive Behaviour Support Practitioners.

About the Job:

The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing and observing participants challenging behaviours, developing plans and implementing interventions with training and regular follow up and review.

This is a unique opportunity to work in the NDIS Psychology services, providing assessments and interventions across the lifespan and across a diverse range of presentations.

Additionally, there will be opportunities to be trained in specific psychological assessments, such as Autism and ADHD.

Key Responsibilities:
  • A thorough assessment of participants' challenging behaviours, identifying causes and developing strategies for improvement.
  • Developing and implementing behaviour support plans, working closely with participants and their families.
  • Providing ongoing support and training to participants, promoting skills development and improved emotion regulation.
  • Collaborating with other professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support.
Requirements:
  • NDIS Registration as a Behaviour Practitioner (or the ability to become registered).
  • Minimum Bachelors degree in Psychology, with relevant experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disability, and other complex diagnoses.
  • A car and licence, A National Police Clearance, Working With Children/Working with Vulnerable People Check & NDIS Worker Screening Clearance or ability to get one.
