About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Communications Officer to join our Customer and Communications team at the City of Kwinana. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and executing digital marketing strategies across multiple channels and platforms to support and deliver the City's overall communications objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement digital marketing campaigns to engage with our community and promote the City's services and initiatives.
  • Manage and maintain the City's corporate website, social media platforms, and other digital applications to ensure they are up-to-date and effective.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and implement integrated marketing strategies that align with the City's overall communications objectives.
  • Provide high-quality customer service and support to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest digital marketing trends and technologies to ensure the City's digital presence remains competitive and effective.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, or a related field.
  • Considerable experience in digital marketing and creating effective integrated digital marketing campaigns.
  • Experience managing complex websites through a Content Management System (CMS).
  • Understanding of the fundamentals of web development, including accessibility, user experience, information architecture, and mobile responsiveness.
  • Experience producing email-newsletters using web platforms, such as MailChimp.
  • Experience in copywriting for digital mediums, including writing for web and social media posts.
  • Excellent knowledge of social media platforms and social media management software.
  • Knowledge of internet and social media marketing techniques, including search engine optimisation (SEO), search engine marketing (SEM), and experience using Google Adwords and Facebook Business Manager.
  • Understanding of marketing, advertising, design, and branding techniques and principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide high-quality customer service and work in a team environment.
