Job Title: Support Worker

To achieve the highest standards of care, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in empowering individuals with disabilities to live fulfilling lives.

Job Description

The successful candidate will provide support to clients in accordance with their NDIS plans, assisting them with daily living activities such as eating, dressing, bathing, and grooming. You will also provide transportation assistance, respite care, and maintain accurate records of clients' care plans and progress.

As a Support Worker, you will be required to communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other members of the care team, while following health and safety regulations to ensure the safety and well-being of clients.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A minimum of high school or equivalent qualification;
  • Certificate 2 or 4 in individual support or willingness to work towards completion (highly regarded);
  • Lived experience or paid experience working with people with disabilities; and
  • Strong understanding of the NDIS and its guidelines.

You will also need to possess basic care and first aid skills, as well as strong computer skills, including proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite. Availability for day shifts, night shifts, sleepovers, and weekends is also essential.
