Aboriginal Teacher Opportunity
This role offers an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to join our team as an Aboriginal Identified Teacher.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for planning and developing courses that meet the requirements of accredited programs and training packages.
This is a crucial role in reducing inmate reoffending and increasing community safety.
Main Responsibilities:
Conduct classes and sessions with offenders to meet educational needs under adult learning principles
Evaluate processes, including validation and modifying assessments, and perform administrative duties such as recording offender attendance, progress, and achievements
Requirements:
Key Qualifications:
Proof of Aboriginality
Qualification in Education as outlined in the Crown Employees (Education Employees Department of Justice – Corrective Services NSW) Award
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent
Current Driver Licence and preparedness to drive as part of the role
