About this role

The primary objective of this position is to lead and manage the Identity and Access Management (IAM) business operations team, ensuring the efficient delivery of identity services and adherence to governance processes. This role will drive and steer the overall operations of the IAM function.

This includes developing and executing operational strategies that align with our organisation's objectives, leading a team responsible for daily IAM operations, and ensuring the effective execution of access controls. The successful candidate will also drive growth by focusing on operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Identifying essential team competencies and implementing targeted training and upskilling programs
  • Acting as a change champion by supporting and managing transformation projects within IAM Business Operations
  • Collaborating closely with IAM Governance teams to ensure compliance with policies and regulatory requirements
  • Monitoring team performance, tracking metrics, and using data to find areas for improvement

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Demonstrated 5-7 years' experience in Identity Access Management, cyber security or IT operations with at least 3 years in a team lead/scrum master role
  • Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills with the proven ability to manage a team, processes and operations
  • Demonstrated ability to partner and collaborate effectively with stakeholders to establish strong professional relationships and influence outcomes
  • Analytical and critical thinking capability to interpret a range of data, identify patterns, trends and links that inform judgements and solutions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of communicating with clarity, impact and influence
