We are seeking an experienced and skilled pipeline professional to join our team.
As a senior pipeline engineer, you will be responsible for working with our team of engineers and designers to produce high-quality engineering deliverables that meet the needs of our clients and Verbrec's standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide technical support in the engineering and design processes for oil and gas pipelines
- Develop and support FEED and designs studies including detailed design calculations
- Develop and support the development of scoping documents such as routing studies, construction methodology, design criteria and alignment sheets
- Participate and support in risk assessment & SMS workshops
- Proactively communicate with project managers and team members to ensure projects are delivered within scope, schedule and budget
- Manage and track single-discipline projects
- Prepare and support cost estimates, equipment summaries and tender packages
- Write technical reports as required
- Degree in mechanical engineering or other equivalent engineering degrees
- Minimum 8 years' experience in the design of oil & gas pipelines and associated assemblies
- Proven Australian experience in pipeline design including concept development, FEED and detail design phases
- In-depth knowledge of AS2885 and other relevant Australian Standards, acts, regulations and codes related to the pipeline industry
- Engineers Australia Chartered Engineer or equivalent. Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (current or eligible to attain)
- Ability to perform engineering tasks with minimal supervision
- Ability to manage your time and work independently
- Ability to manage the workload and utilisation of junior engineers
- Proven experience with mentoring junior engineers
