Key Responsibilities- Provide expert guidance and advice on commercial matters related to contract entitlement, claims, and disputes.
- Review the financial position of the contract and identify potential risks or gaps in performance or revenue recovery.
- Develop and implement strategies to address these risks and ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions.
- Prepare and negotiate contract variations, extensions, and additional work to maximize the value of the contract agreement.
- Maintain the commercial register and communicate key milestones and deadlines to stakeholders.
- Address deviations or issues promptly and work towards resolving them in a timely manner.
- Communicate with stakeholders, including operations managers and project directors, to monitor issues and provide recommendations.
- Tertiary qualification in Business, Law, Finance, or Commerce.
- Significant experience in negotiation and communication skills.
- Strategic thinking and high-level decision-making abilities.
- Knowledge of commercial/contract requirements, principles, and practices, including budgets.
- High-level computer skills and report writing, including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Significant experience in contract/commercial preparation and negotiation.
- Demonstrated experience in collaborative and consultative processes at a professional level.
- Ability to work flexibly and adaptively in a complex environment with multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent knowledge/interpretation of laws, contracts, acts, regulations, and standards.
